Positive: Kanayama-san is a fantastic host who raised the bar high for guesthouses, I very much enjoyed my stay at 旅人の宿人. I came to 宿人 during winter, and the sighting around the house was magnificent. The Japanese-style room and its futon were great, even during the very cold night of Hokkaido's winter. It's a true rural experience and I'm sure it's also a perfect stay for summer.

Negative: The location is very remote, with no public transport deserving the place, which could be very troublesome during nighttime or when the conditions to walk from the closest bus stop (about one hour from the accommodation) are bad (night, snow, rain...). You also have to make preparations for meals as the closest restaurants and shops are one hour's walk from the place. Having a transport method is recommended.
